Suzuki Swift awarded Best Affordable Hybrid by Best Cars of the Year

Just three months after its launch, the new Suzuki Swift Hybrid has already earned a significant praise: the Best Affordable Hybrid 2024/2025 by Best Cars of The Year. Suzuki is thrilled to share the news, as the Swift Hybrid was recognised as the clear category winner. The judges praised its impressive features, which include standard hybrid technology across the entire range, an exceptional fuel efficiency with a combined 64.2 miles per gallon, and, most significantly, its wallet-friendly price, which comes in well under £20,000.

Mike Rutherford of Best Cars of The Year expressed his enthusiasm, stating, Suzuki has to be applauded for making every model available as a hybrid - at a time when consumers are increasingly attracted to this affordable, highly flexible petrol-electric tech.
"Throw impressive Japanese build quality, a great dealer network and a sub-£20,000 starting price into the mix and it’s no wonder the little Swift appealed to our judges. It’s a car for the real-world."

The new Swift Hybrid's popularity is further evidenced by the impressive number of over 3,700 customer orders already placed. This strong demand highlights Suzuki’s dedication to delivering vehicles with low ownership costs, essential modern technology, and standard hybrid options. Additionally, the Swift offers an optional Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox and Allgrip Auto 4x4 technology, providing enhanced traction for drivers who need reliable performance in winter or rural conditions.

The new Swift will be showcased alongside other category winners and the overall Best Car of The Year at the British Motor Show, held at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. The show will be open to the public from Thursday, August 15th, through Sunday, August 18th, offering a chance for enthusiasts and potential buyers to explore the award-winning vehicle up close.
