Suzuki Unveils e VITARA: Its First Mass-Production Battery Electric Vehicle
Suzuki Motor Corporation has introduced the e VITARA, its first mass-produced battery electric vehicle (BEV), at an event in Milan, Italy. Production is set to start in spring 2025 at Suzuki Motor Gujarat in India, with sales launching by summer 2025 in markets such as Europe, India, and Japan.  The e VITARA builds on the concept model eVX, showcased at India's Auto Expo in January 2023 and at Japan's Mobility Show in October. This model represents Suzuki’s first global strategic BEV, emphasizing an "Emotional Versatile Cruiser" theme. Key features include a high-tech, robust design, an electric 4WD system (ALLGRIP-e) for both off-road capability and dynamic performance, and Suzuki’s newly developed HEARTECT-e platform specifically designed for BEVs. |
